Three Women and a Bottle of Wine Podcast provides an opportunity to delve a bit into my love of journalism with two other pros who are more than colleagues- they are friends.
From the podcast website: When asked during job interviews, “Where do you see yourself in five years?”, I can’t stop myself from laughing. My plan WAS to be a sports broadcaster (Monday Night Football, to be exact), travel endlessly, and float home for holidays to visit siblings and parents. Hah!
I spent 11 years in Montana as a reporter/news director, got married, had an amazing little boy (surprise!), got divorced, stayed to continue an amazing career leading two separate news stations, earned two Associated Press writing awards, numerous honorable mentions, but decided home was where my heart was.
More than a decade ago, I moved back to my hometown of Stillwater and landed an amazing job covering the Minnesota Legislature. I won a Regional Emmy Award, had another son (another surprise!), and left broadcasting to work in the PR and communications fields – currently with the Minnesota Department of Health telling the stories of our partners to highlight positive areas in the horrific opioid epidemic (yes, there are positive stories). This podcast provides an opportunity to delve a bit into my love of journalism with two other pros who are more than colleagues- they are friends.
