Google Partners program is launching later this year, which may require current partner companies to make several changes. For companies to maintain their Google Partner status, they will have to meet a new set of requirements that go into effect in June 2020. Google is sending emails to partner companies to help them determine whether they’ll maintain partner status as per the new requirements. The Digital Analytics Association announced that they have absorbed the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO), an important milestone in the history of search marketing.
The members of SEMPO voted by email to approve the merger with DAA and the dissolution of SEMPO. The price competitiveness report began rolling out in Google Merchant Center (GMC) for eligible sellers last week. This new report can show you how your prices compare to other merchants selling and promoting the same products in Google Shopping campaigns. The report, in beta, is located under the Growth section in the left-hand menu in GMC. To join, you first have to opt into the Market Insights program. “Additionally, the account using the program must meet certain minimum requirements for participation in Shopping ads or Shopping Actions,” says Google. Per the policy, you are not allowed to repackage, sell or embed this data elsewhere.
Warner Bros. has renamed the recently released film Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) to simply Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey. The reason? To make it easier for moviegoers to find tickets online, the company told The Verge Tuesday. The new title frontloads “Harley Quinn”, the main character’s name, instead of burying it at the end.
